Apple Dumpling

Apple Dumpling

1 can crescent roll dough
3 golden delicious apples
6 ½ teaspoons sugar
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1 ½ teaspoons butter

Peel and core the apples. For each dumpling, place three pieces of crescent roll dough in a circle with large ends together and points facing out. Press large ends together in the center. Cut each point to the base creating six points. Place one apple in the center with hole facing up. Mix sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg together. Sprinkle 2 ¾ teaspoons sugar mixture around the outside and in the hole of each apple. Put ½ teaspoon butter in the hole of each apple. Fold the points of dough up over the apple and press together at the top.
Bake at 350 Degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
