Apple Delight


Apple Delight

1 can biscuit dough - baked as directed
1 large can apple pie filling or fresh apple topping
1teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cloves

In a 9” by 9” baking dish, break cooked biscuits into small pieces. Spread apple pie filling mixture or apple topping over the biscuit pieces.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream (optional).

Fresh Apple Topping

1¾ cups water
¾ cup sugar
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
4 cups sliced baking apples
3 Tablespoons cornstarch

Place all ingredients, except cornstarch, in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in ¼ cup water add to apple mixture. Stir until thickened. Pour over biscuits.
